Beverly HillBillies Slot Review

IGT is a leading designer, developer, and manufacturer of gaming systems. It also distributes gaming equipment and sells network systems and software worldwide. The NASDAQ listed company premiered The Beverly Hillbillies Millionaire Mile Video Slot game at the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association Tradeshow this year. The new video slot machine is based on the hugely entertaining TV show that began in the early 1960s.

Players and fans of the series can now take a walk down memory lane with the new game and script their own rags-to-riches story. As players progress to win credits and bonuses, funny snippets from the TV series pop up to celebrate their wins.

The Beverly Hillbillies Millionaire Mile Video Slot is a five-reel, fifty-credit (30+ 20 for bonus) game. Players can win up to fifteen free spins. During the base play game, the reels sometimes land symbols called Mr. Drysdale’s Safes. Through them, the player can win up to 5 x times the credit.

Special Bonuses in the Beverly Hillbillies Slot Game

During game play, players can trigger the Beverly Hillbillies bonus feature. Here, they get to choose one symbol from three covered symbols. The symbols open into special bonuses such as Elly May’s Match bonus, The Clampetts in London bonus, and the Millionaire Mile Bonus.

In Elly May’s Match Bonus, players have to help Elly May find a husband. Players get five chances to make their picks. Hidden in the maze of gifts are items such as chocolates, perfumes, necklaces, and wilds. When players pick two matching items, they advance on the sequence and also get two extra picks. The sequence leads to the Silver and the Gold progressive.

The second bonus is the ‘Clampetts in London’ award. Here, players accompany the Clampetts to London. Five choices will be displayed on the screen. Players have to make a pick, which will open into a symbol. Note that ‘The Clampetts in London’ is a free spin bonus. When the wheel spins, the goal is to lock into the symbol the player chosen earlier. As the symbol repeats, credit wins increase. Players also stand a chance to win extra spins.

The Millionaire Mile Bonus features a road trip. Players get five chances to spin a wheel on the screen. Each spin on the wheel lands the player closer to a progressive payout. Depending on where the car stops, the player is awarded credits, extra spins, or both. For instance, if a player gets the number seven, the car will move by seven places and stop. The spot may hold pick bonuses or credits. Bonuses include Granny’s Rheumatiz Medicine, Jethro’s Jobs, Mr. Drysdale’s Bank Bonus, and more.

In Granny’s Rheumatiz medicine, players have to choose a single jar from three jars. The jars hold prizes such as credits. In Jethro’s Jobs, players choose a job for Jethro. There are options such as Matador, 00 Spy, Fry Cook, Frogman, or a Director (the jobs depend on the version of the game). Each of these leads to different credit prizes.

When a player lands on Mr. Drysdale’s Bank Bonuses, players get five picks with which they use to open deposit boxes. Each of these deposit boxes hold credits or credit/picks. If players land on the last spot which is the end of the trail, they win huge Gold progressives.

About the Beverly Hillbillies

The Beverly Hillbillies is an American comedy series that ran from 1962 to 1971 on CBS. The Beverly Hillbillies theme song was “The Ballad of Jed Clampett”. The song provided viewers with the background story of how the Clampett’s ended up in Beverly Hills. The series is about poor country family that is transplanted to Hollywood’s Beverly Hills, when they strike oil on their modest farmland in the country. (Although not quite like the Clampett slots, Lucky Farmer is entertaining and farm themed.) The family is made up of Jed “J.D.” Clampett – the patriarch, Daisy May “Granny” Moses – Jed’s mother-in-law, Elly May Clampett – Jed’s daughter, and Jethro – Jed’s cousin’s son.

Jed “J.D.” Clampett is an aging widower and the patriarch of the family. He is good natured and intelligent, though he has little education. He is very loyal to his family and friends.

Daisy Mae Moses or Granny is Jed’s mother-in-law and she is always trotting around with a shotgun. She gets angry easily but is quick to forgiveness. She is not averse to using painful treatments such as yanking a tooth out with a pair of pliers and bleeding with leeches.

Elly May Clampett is Jed’s only daughter and a beauty. She is a tomboy at heart and can throw a fastball as well. She is very fond of animals. She cannot cook and when she takes to the kitchen, the family cringes.

Jethro Bodine is the family’s most ‘learned’ man (he has cleared the sixth grade). He is always searching for a job and has tried his hand at careers such as a movie producer, a millwright, a bookkeeper, a fry cook, and even a brain surgeon.

The Beverly Hillbillies ran for an incredible 274 seasons. One of its episodes, Hedda Hopper’s Hollywood, is even on the ’100 Greatest Episodes of All Time’ by TV Guide.
